Just a Castle

Frank Castle, aka The Punisher; the true man without fear...11" x 14" pen & ink illustration on marker paper. A custom piece of fan art. I took some liberties with Castle, giving him an older appearance, a receding hairline and the costume as drawn by Mike Zeck, sans the white gloves and boots, which never really made any sense to me. Jigsaw features in the busted mirror pane behind Castle.

Work in Progress #8

Gears versus Halo...9 1/2" x 11" pen & ink illustration. I created this concept for an interactive website dealing with video games, animation, multimedia and pop culture at large. I turned the two blockbuster hits into giant amalgamated monsters, combining characters from both series, to personify the massive cult following these two franchises enjoy. I wanted to add a lot more detail, ala Geoff Darrow, but was discouraged from doing so by the client. I may recreate this one day the way I envisioned it for my own collection. I think it would make a cool poster, when painted digitally.

Work in Progress #7

Another throwback from the AD Universe, The Violent Offender...11" x 9 1/2" pen & ink illustration. The Violent Offender is the embodiment of a violent sinner's crimes, the paired blades are the manifestation of the offender's murderous intentions. They are mindless killers, agile and cruel and are known to attack in bands.

Work in Progress #6

The System, featured villain in the superhero conspiracy series Evidence...9 1/2" x 11" pen & ink illustration. The premise for this character is he is a metahuman supervillain who has the ability to integrate organic materials and machinery into his biology to suit various malevolent purposes. Here we see The System has managed to assimilate a motorcycle and its rider, re-purposing the raw components of both to create this amalgamation. The System is an active member of the superhuman terrorist group known as The Diabolists.

Concept Art: Parasite

Concept Artwork for an undisclosed independent horror film...pen & ink illustration, painted in Photoshop CS2. A working concept of a parasitic extraterrestrial organism that makes mindless puppets of its hosts. I used several real life parasites and insects as points of reference, combining parts from each to create this abomination. Pending approval or further instruction...

Jaconda

Digital life drawing sketch, nude model (apparently)...I added devil horns for flare. Produced using a Wacom Graphic Tablet and a custom soft brush tool in Photoshop CS2. This one took me back to a time long ago, when I was a youth studying Fine Art. I plan on reminiscing again very soon...
